An American Homestead in England - Kent ME13
Home Farm is an American colonial style weather boarded house set in 5 acres of meadows surrounded by woodland. It has large spacious rooms throughout all in a shabby chic design with high ceilings, chateau doors, and reclaimed wooded floors. Upstairs are large bedrooms set in the eaves with beautiful views, and a balcony and a turret. The house is filled with reclaimed Victorian fittings throughout with roll top baths, cast iron radiators and Bakelite switches. The house has two large verandas on either side, a derelict Victorian greenhouse and a corrugated roof.
The outdoor space includes a large buttercup meadow or prairie, areas of woodland, a camp fire area, beehives, orchard, as well as old barns and outbuildings. Next to the house is a derelict Victorian greenhouse. We are isolated and no other houses are visible
The house is located 40 minutes drive from London (M25) in the Kent countryside, just off Junction 6 of the M2. There is an outbuilding, which can be used as costume/make up/crew rooms with a kitchen and toilet, as well as two barns for set design, and parking on site for 20-30 cars. Further parking space can be arranged at a farm nearby
