Brows around to find your own style
August 17 2011
With Eyebrows as one of the key runway trends for this autumn/winter, we have asked top Make-up artist Chase Aston to advise us on grooming those bad boys and finding a style to suit you. The groomed, polished and boy-ish androgynous brown is hot on the runway but isn’t for everyone…
- As we age, our brows, like our hair colour turns grey, then white. When brows are left un-plucked and lighter, the face can appear unbalanced and bare. With just a simple pluck and a little shading on the brows, the eyes will appear naturally dressed, adding structure and balance to your overall facial features.
- If you have very dark brows and a pale complexion, softly lightening them can work. This can also help to balance delicate facial features, adding structure and balance to your face.
- There are five basic brow shapes, Round , Angled , Soft Angled , Curved and Flat , and each shape compliments the individuals eyes and overall facial features.
- If you are going to shape, shade and define your brows for the first time, I would suggest that you source some images of celebrities / models that have a similar face and eye shape. You can then use this image as a guideline for the brow shape that you will be creating.
