Brooks & Brooks win the 2013 L’Oréal Colour Trophy!

Brooks+Brooks Hairdressing from Holborn, London have won the prestigious 2013 L’Oréal Colour Trophy, the hairdressing industry’s longest running award, dedicated to celebrating creative talent and ‘Hair Inspired by Fashion’. Sophia Hilton from Brooks+Brooks concluded her epic 4-month journey with a distinguished achievement during the glamorous 58th annual L’Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final.
Sophia, 25 of Shoreditch, took to the dazzling stage in front of an star studded audience of over 1000 guests that including fashions finest Alexa Chung and the ubér talented Shingwai Shoniwai of the Noisettes. Brooks+Brooks celebrated their national triumph as the super cool and very charming presenter George Lamb handed Sophia her acclaimed award during rapturous applause and a standing ovation.
Only 28 UK salons held a place in the Grand Final and contestants faced a judging panel of some of Britain’s most accomplished and renowned hairdressers including Jo Hansford MBE, Andrew Barton, Richard Ward, Guy Kremer, Steve Rowbottom, Gary Hooker & Michael Young and Dylan Bradshaw.
Sophia will now go on to begin her year-long prize of ‘A Year of Dreams’ this will include a tailor made calendar of opportunities designed to help to propel both their creative skills and salon business. The team can look forward to a Vogue UK fashion shoot, inspirational trips abroad with salons nationwide and bespoke educational packages to name a few, the best is yet to come.
